What our users say

Illustration

Angèle B.(daughter of a user)

"I downloaded JIB CALLS for my mom who had some medical issues, including her sight and some reflexes she doesn't have anymore, like answering the phone. Being able to select contacts is super useful. Before, she had no phone. Now it allows us to stay in contact with her, even when we go outside to run errands. She is reassured and is happy that we can contact her directly. I'm of course also very reassured!"

Rémi S.(occupational therapist)

"I recommended JIB CALLS to people with multiple sclerosis that didn't have a full control of their arms. They have a phone but can't search in their contact lists, can't put on speaker mode etc. They had to wait for a medical helper to come to make a phonecall. They regained autonomy, freedom, they don't depend on anyone. As an occupational therapist it also allow me to them of appointment changes, ask for complementary information and improvise less!"

Hélène F.(mom of a user)

"My Daughter has the Filum disease and wished to be autonomous. She can now call her sister, her friends, and keep a social link and initimacy. As for me, i feel reassured! Our occupational therapist was the one recommending JIB CALLS."

FAQ

  • What tool can be complementary to JIB CALLS?

We highly recommend a phone mount to have your phone at eyes-level at all time. For interaction issues, switches (wired or bluetooth) are a great combination with JIB CALLS. For voice command, use the Google Assistant integrated in your Android smartphone. Google smart speaker's tend to interact poorly with phonecalls, so we do not recommend using those.
  • Does JIB CALLS works on both iOS & Android?

Currently, JIB CALLS is only available on Android smartphones.
  • Can I test JIB CALLS before buying?

Of course! Just like any assistive technology, there's nothing like testing it! That's why we made the app on a freemium model, for you to test and see how it helps you reach out to your loved ones! The free version includes 15 calls per month. If you want to go past that limit, you can subscribe to a montlhy or yearly plan (with no engagement).
  • Can I unsubscribe when I don't need JIB CALLS anymore?

You can of course cancel your subscription whenever you want, there is no engagement required!
  • How has been developed JIB CALLS?

JIB CALLS has been developed with people with physical disabilities throughout a wide range of pathologies and use-cases. We've also partnered with reeducation center and occupational therapists to make sure the app is fully adapted to all everyday life situations!
JIB CALLS is an always evolving app, so you can contact us to implement new features at moc.emoh-bij%40tcatnoc

JIB empowers you to live independent

JIB is a Paris-based startup dedicated to developing tech that helps people with physical disabilities be more independent in their everyday life. Our apps are co-created with a community of people with physical disabilities, occupational therapist, professional helpers.
We target essential everyday needs such as environmental control, communication, phone calls and nurse-calling.
A large community of around 2000 individuals, helpers, occupational therapists or speech therapists work closely with us to help us make better tech.

The story

JIB was funded in 2018 with a social-impact vision in mind: disability shouldn't mean unequal access to education, employment and social life. Tech offers an amazing opportunity to erase most of the social impact of disability, if it's developed for an inclusive purpose.
We believe we can make assistive tech accessible and affordable to everyone. In 4 years, we've developed 4 different apps and already helped 600 people with disability be more independent in their everyday life.
